Update issues
For some reason the update feature cant connect the mirrors and saying that maybe my CPU architecture is not supported (intel P-4). When trying manually add it at the media manager it cant find mirrors as well.

I have the same problem, having only recently got a home internet connection. My firewall disallows ftp as - I believe - this is insecure. Maybe it has something to do with that? Most of the Mandriva mirrors seem to rely on ftp, but I suspect there's more to it than this.

go to your software media manager, and click on add > security update (or something with update) then put this URL there:
ftp://ftp.belnet.be/packages/mandrak...586/media/main
save.
that sould do it...
