Update from KDE 3.2 to KDE 3.4 (Mandrake 10.1)
Hello firends,
How can I upgrade my Mandrake 10.1 Official from KDE 3.2 to KDE 3.4
I want to install all the KDE packages (the one which are not currentlt intalled).
(but also tell me how to just upgrade the currently intalled KDE 3.2 packages to KDE 3.4)
And, if I go fo full upgrade (intalling all packages of KDE 3.4), then will it display in Menu or I have to set it.

Thac's urpmi repository has the latest KDE. The problem is that there are some major changes between 3.3 and 3.4, so more again back to 3.2. A lot of config files sit in different places. It will be a big enough install, and not without its troubles. It may be a good idea to create a new user with an empty home directory, and log in with that after installing 3.4. I ran this update myself in LE2005, and although I got it fixed it did take about 45 minutes work. If there isn't a reason to keep 10.1 I might suggest installing Mandriva 2006 (unfortunately it is only available to club members at the moment).

Really? I hadn't checked since last weekend. Well I planned on spending some quality time with the wife this weekend but I guess that's out the window now
