    Serial mouse compatability?

    Hi, I had just installed Fedora Core 4 on my old 400mhz amd k6-2 system with NO usb ports, NO ps2 ports, only serial and AT.

    Well, I found out that serial mice don't work with FC4, do they work with Mandriva?

    You might want to look here for you FC4 problem http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showth...t=60410&page=1

    During a Mandriva Linux Install, DrakX will automatically know whether your mouse uses a PS/2, serial or USB interface. So I would assume you will have no problems with your serial mouse in Mandriva Linux.

    I installed Mandrake LE 2005 on a similarlly spec'd machine and it found the Serial Mouse without problem.
