Kernel Error
Please forgive my ignorance but I really need your help guys..
I haven't even used Linux yet ever, and am trying to install Mandriva Limited Edition 2005. I firstly tried installing it on my laptop however it didn't like my SATA Controller HD. So I created an ext2 partion and a swap file on my Lacie 250Gb external USB 2 harddrive. The installation went well however when I tried to boot linux up it says:
Mounting root filesystem with flags noatime
mount: error 6 mounting ext2 flags noatime
.......
Kernel Panic - not syncing: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.
Can anyone help Because I would really like to start using Linux.
Thanking you all in advance
