    2006 rc2 nvidia ck804 serial ata

    Hi,

    I just downloaded the 2006 rc2 iso images,
    boot from the 1st cd, select language , accept license agreement
    then it sais installing nvidia Serial ata drivers ck 804
    and just hangs. I had the same with mandriva2005 but then i
    booted with linux noapic option and it passed through there and worked.
    If i do the same with the 2006 , (press F1 enter linux noapic) it goes on but it claims there are no hard disks found at all.

    SATA Drives

    SATA drive support can be iffy in many cases. Check with Mandriva's H/W database and make sure your drive is supported...Also D/L the latest version of 2006 and use that instead of the RC versions...RC versions are usually buggy Beta releases

    tried that

    downloaded boot.iso of the final version

    boot with no options => hangs
    boot with noapic => no drives detected

    Mandriva 2005 LE is running currently on the same system
    to install this i also had to use the linux noapic at boot
