System Crash on a Dell Inspiron 6000
I am currently running Mandriva Powerpack 2006 on a Dell Inspiron 6000. I'm having a great time, expect for the fact that the system freezes up on me every once in a while. I am currently using this machine for work, so i need to solve this problem as soon as posible.
From what i have read, the possible origins of this problems are:
--A problem X and/or the video drivers.
--A problem with cpu cooling/throtling.
My configuration is:
Intel Centrino 1.6 Ghz/533 Mhz
1 GM Ram
80 GB HD/ 5400 RPM
ATI x300 128 MB
If you think one of these can be an issue, or have an alternate hypothesis, please post.

Ok. My first instinct would be it's your display drivers. Are you using the official ATI drivers, the "vesa" driver, or the open-source "radeon" driver? (Check your /etc/X11/xorg.conf to find out).
