what error/s are you getting?

Well, it can't even find an access point when I run "iwconfig." In dmesg, it also says that my radio kill switch is off when it's really on. Thanks for any and all help!

In some laptops there is an option somewhere to leave the radio always on, see if that helps. Also, take a closer look through dmesg and see if the drivers/firmware is in the place where the system expects it to be.

Well, the problem is that I have a hardware switch for my wireless on the front of my laptop, which is set to "on." But I will weed through dmesg and return what I find later...
