Mandriva 2006 DVD playback
Greetings!
I am having trouble installing mplayer and win32 codecs on Mandriva 2006 (free dvd download).
Here is what I have done:
o Logged on as root
o I set up my sources/repositories to Mandriva/2006/urpmi using the easy urpmi page and followed the 3-step instructions.
o I set up plf for the contrib media repositories, because I read playback of dvds will not be possible without plf-free and plf-nonfree.
After all of those were installed (while still at the command line) I typed:
urpmi mplayer
But get, "no package name xxxxxxxx."
Ditto for 'urpmi win32-codecs' and 'urpmi libdvdcss'
What am I missing?
Thanks and take care!

Have you tried to open cc"& try it from there. You will be able to pick mplayer from the list ¨if its there!¨

Actually everything I did, I did from the command-line....

Or is this operator error (me)?
Or both? :^)
Thanks.
