thanks guys, in gnome i just double click computer and choose network and the rest is history, not to sure on how to in KDE...

on the left hand side of a konquror browser window there is a network tab i belive
if not go to run a command on the klicker menu
then type konquoror, it will take you to like a control panel thing, and you click to go to a location, click network

unfortuanly i cannnot get that to work, iv just tried last 5 minutes in konqueror
