    Mandrake 10.1 kernel updates

    Hey guys/girls

    Can someone please direct me as to where I can get a kernel update for mandrake 10.1 and also how do you find out what version of kernel you are running

    uname -r
    will give you the kernel version. As for the update, have you tried through urpmi? You could also check the mandriva ftp site. They may possibly have one there.

    Or simply "urpmi kernel".
    That has to be specifically asked since that's a fundamental change.

    Note that all kernel modules will be (or have to have been ? I have a doubt ! ) removed, which may complicate things for you... I believe graphic drivers being a kernel module, they'll have to be reinstalled, be prepared.
