    Boot options

    Hi guys

    Just upgraded my 10.1 commercial to 2006 and now have a number of new options in lilo.

    I've got the following options when I boot (the 2.8.8.xxx are new options):

    linux
    2.6.8.1-12
    linux-nonfb
    alt_2.6.8.1-12
    failsafe

    Can anybody please tell me what all these options are? Linux is obvious but I dont know of the others. Still in newbie status...

    I belive they are your old kernels. 10.1 shipped with the 2.6.8 kernel so that's what 2.6.8.1-12 must be. Also nomaly when I install mandrake 10.1 I get a "enterprise" kernel aswell so that must be alt_2.6.8.1-12.
