hi all
i have a .chm file i want to open it in linux (Mandrake 10.1) are these file extensions windows specific
or can they be opened in linux also. can somebody explain this.

As far as I know they are Windows specific, also because the application to create the chm files is a Windows application. The past few years it is customary to create the chm files straight from the html documentation, so you may want to get in touch with the creator and ask him for the webpages. Most of the time these are more up to date as well.

Yes. It is windoze format but you can open it with xCHM.

Hi, Mandrake 10.1 has a programme called xchm. If you have setup your repositories correctly all you need to do is as root
