    Cable Modem

    I have a high speed cable modem..
    my problem is
    with windows I have to install a so called PPPoE connection to get it connected.
    Normally the settings are
    IP: 192.168.100.2
    DNS: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 192.168.100.1

    How can I put these setting is Mandriva 2006 to get my Internet worked?

    It is very easy with cable modems. just connect it to network port, not USB, and it'll work in a secund. I have Motorola cable modem and it works perfectly.
