Video Problems in Mandriva

Hi all,

I am running Mandriva 2006 and everything works fine in audio progams like amarok. As soon as I open a video like a music video from my hard drive in any program, I tried Kaffeine, Xine, and Mplayer, the video AND audio play super fast. I have searched everywhere and cant find anything on the subject. If you need any info or the output of anything please let me know.

What format is the movie in? MPG, WMV, AVI?

I have tried all movie formats. None of them work. Its played real fast and the audio is real choppy.

So I guess your answer is, "all of the above"? Kaffeine and Xine use the same engine so their behavior I would expect to be identical. If Mplayer is giving you trouble though...

Have you tried installing the latest version of Xine off their website?

When i used mplayer from the command line before it was the same but i reinstalled and player and am usinng kplayer for a frontend. works just fine. ill try and update xine and see if that works for it.
