    very noobish question

Sorry if this is a really dumb question (which it is) but I really need help with this. I downloaded the three ISOs for Mandriva Limited Edition 2005, and I burned them to three separate CDs. I thought that was it, but the CDs won't boot, even when I went and changed the BIOS a few times. I tried SUSE as well, and it refuses to boot also.

So is there something I should be doing to the ISO? Do I need a special burning program to burn the ISO to the CD?

    Thanks!

It sounds like you might be "copying" the ISO file to the CD rather than burning it as an "image" to the CD. Look at the files on the CD to see if there are multiple file, or just the ISO file.

Yeah, it's a bit of a pain, but at least you'll be learning something new. Hey, welcome to the forums... don't hesitate to ask more questions should you have the need.
