how do you install themes on KDE..??
another thing im wondering about is i see all these people having some kind of monitoring box on their screen where it shows cpu usage etc. where can i get that?
btw. im using mandriva 2006

To have cool gadgets on your desktop you have to install Superkaramba. a lot of gadgets can be found on kde-look site.

well i downloaded superkaramba and after tons of time typing ./configure it kept asking for weird libraries etc. which i got from the mandriva cd and at last it gives me this
Superkaramba can't be compiled
because of missing Python libraries/headers.
what libraries?? i installed all the python crap from the CD and it still wont compile the ting >( well anyways any specific library/header its looking for??

Seeing as you are using Mandriva you might as well use the package shipped with it. Try going to MCC and installing it there in add/remove software or from the command line
This will need to be done as root.Code:urpmi superkaramba
Sometimes people will use ksim to monitor activity. It is not as configurable, and quite basic in appearance but will do the job. Just right click on the kicker (taskbar) and select add > to panel > ksim
