has anyone loaded ymessenger onto a mandriva system... i'm interested in doing it but not if i'm the first as my system is working like a dream and i'm not in the mood for debugging...
- 02-14-2006 #2You'd probably be better off just using a Linux IM client that supports the Yahoo protocol, since most "official" Linux messaging clients from people like AOL and Yahoo are half-cocked and buggy attempts to just say "we've got a Linux client, now leave us alone." I recommend GAIM or Kopete.

Yap GAIM :)
Out of these 2, GAIM is better. It has a MultiMessenger feature so you don't need to log off your user so that, let's say, your sister can use it
.
I've got so used to it I even usethe windows version sometimes...
