    Well, sure.

    It is very rewarding when you first succeed.

    Check out this mini how-to, done by "dothacktsukimoto".

    Then again, unless you have a laptop, or some very exotic/new hardware, it really isn't that useful: you can just use a standard stock kernel from your distro.
