Liinux CD Problems
Hi, I am trying to install Linux-Mandriva on another PC.
I can not seem to get past the screen that asks for the CD-
Off course I put in the First CD to start with.
I checked the logs, and notice this.
mounting /dev/hdc on sysroot/temp/image as type iso 9660
mount failed
unsetting automatic
exiting bootsplash

It's hard to diagnose, but if you burned the CDs yourself it might be that some of the files are incomplete, or the disk surface is dirty/damaged. Maybe the CD drive is old and you have a dirty lens in there?
If you did happen to burn the ISOs yourself it might be worth trying again at a slower speed. It's an indefinite problem with an indefinite solution at the moment.I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it. - Pablo Picasso
