    Exclamation Averatec with amd athlon xp-m HELLPPP!!!

    Hello, I have never used Linux in my life, but have an Averatec laptop with amd athlon xp-m laying around and decided i would try linux. I was going to buy the "linux central version" of Mandrake 10.1 x86 64 but I decided to post here for extra assurance and see if this would work with my laptop?

    Welcome to the forums bigpoo,
    only buy the 64 bit version if your computer is 64 bit.

    otherwise take a look at linux on laptops to see other people's experiences with a particular laptop.
