Hi, I've just reinstalled Mandriva 2006 (after a brief and unsuccessful dabble with gentoo), but now I've discovered that my screensaver doesn't recognise mouse movements or button clicks (i.e. the mouse cannot be used to disable the screensaver, and the screensaver will activate if only the mouse is used). This is particularly perplexing for me, because it was fine before I reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled.

I'm running Mandriva 2006 official, with KDE3.4 as my gui. Hardware is an old IBM Thinkpad X20 - I have a USB mouse plugged in, but it doesn't matter if the mouse is moved with the trackpoint or the usb mouse.

I'd appreciate it if anyone has any ideas - it's a little annoying when my screensaver kicks in while using the 'net.

Thanks,
Brian
