default apache directory + firewall issue
hey all
I have Madndrake 2005 LE and i cant find the default directory of the apache installation, i can access http://localhost/ fine and the default apache page comes up, were is the installation located?, and from another machine i couldnt access http://192.168.1.104 (my linux machine), how would i go about on opening the ports to use my webserver, i presume its Port 80 by default

Most distributions will make the document root /var/www or /srv/www by default. It's pretty much gotta be in /var or /srv somewhere.
That sounds like an internal IP address. Are you attempting to access it from inside the network?
Yes, open port 80. In the router configuration, unblock incoming connections to port 80 for that specific machine. And open port 80 on the firewall in Mandriva (if that's what you're using).

how do i free port 80 in mandrake 2005 LE, i have freed port 80 in the router
