Mandriva keeps freezing
Do someone know how to fix this?
I't doesn't happen if I'm working on terminal 1 (Ctrl+Alt+F1).
I'm also having Windows on an other partision, if this could be the reason?

Does Ctrl+Alt+Backspace successfully shutdown/restart X? Does anything appear in your /var/log/messages or ~/.xsession-errors (if the latter exists)?Registered Linux User #379728

If you are using Mandriva 2006, you may wish to disable or uninstall kat because some people using it have had similar problems as you.

Also check the /var/log/messages file. Maybe it shows something unusual (=errors). In that case, you might perhaps need to boot with special parameters in order to stabilize your box.
