mandrake 10.1 boot issues
Hi... I'm a complete noob and am having problems getting mandrake to boot for the first time. Everything appeared to install correctly, except for getting an error that I have not set up x yet. When the system boots, it loads for a while and then stops. When I hit alt+f1 to see the kernal log, it looks like there was a stack dump of some kind. It just says stack followed by a bunch of values and farther down the screen, there are just a bunch of hex values.
can somebody please help me?

Hi - At what point did you get the error about X ? Many Mandriva boot problems are caused by a mis-detected or mis-configured video card. If you run through the installation again (and you don't necessarily have to install everything from scratch) you might try finding and setting up options for your video card.
If it isn't that then it might be because you have an incomplete distro. This can be caused by a corrupted download.
Just a couple of ideas to start you off.
