Mandrake 9.1 PPC install prob
I got an old iMac from a friend and decided to install Mandrake 9.1 PPC on it.
I encountered a problem with partitioning my HDD. I do not want to keep any info on it, => i decided to format it completely. But the installation said something about "not enough space", and "you need to create a strapdisk". I messed with manual repartitioning of the HDD, and now this message does not appear anymore. Instead, when i try any of the options (Use existing, Erase whole HDD, Custom Partition), it says "An error occurred formatting of failed"
what should i do?
tnx

Oops. Nasty thing. When you set up a PPC Linux system, you need to have a bootstrap and a hfs partition at the beginning of the harddisk afaik. Check the installation notes for PPC installation at the Mandriva-site. There should be some hint on how to install the PPC version.
