mandriva mplayer codec installing
i run mandriva 2006 and i have mplayer isntalled i don't know where to put the codecs. Which directory is it. I can't link up to the internet but i have the codecs essantial pack.

You can install your codecs in /usr/lib/win32. You could save yourself time and effort by going to easyurpmi and setup the plf repos. You can then install multimedia packages including win32 codecs, libdvdcss etc using urpmi or the graphical software installer.

there is no /usr/lib/win32 file on my computer

and when i try to create the file it won't let me it says i don't have the permissions
- 04-18-2006 #5If its not there, then create it and if you don't have permissions, switch to root.
