how to change the LILO screen?
Hello everyone!
well i put mandriva on my comp (with much difficulty) and now i just want LILO to default to windows so that the rest of my family can keep using it. I tried editing the "lilo.conf" file to say default="windows" and i tried to list a "windows" option first before "linux" but alas, nothing has changed. any help?
p.s. i also downloaded lilo 22 thinking it would help but it wont install. it says "make" command not found.

You have to run the lilo command as root after editing the lilo.conf file and before rebooting or the changes won't take effect. Hope this helps.

the worst part is that its in a comment at the top of the lilo.conf file... must read more...
