I tried to compile the kernel to have raid controller built-in support for my mobo.

in the configuration i specified to include both the silicon image controller and the nvidia controller. compilation of kernel ok as well as the make modules and modules_install stages.

when trying to make the init image mkinitrd says that no sata_nv module is found, which, in fact, is true... no sata_nv.ko module under the scsi section of the /lib/modules/...../scsi/ folder...

somebody told me is a known issue with the 2.6 kernel..
by the way, i am using mandriva 2006 free edition, 2.6.12 kernel

any idea on how getting the modules in place ?
