    Hello,
I am a new Linux user. I have installed in my computer's d: partition Mandriva 2006 from a DVD. I think it was successed. Now I choose Linux option at computer start then Mandriva loading screen comes and stops. No loading or login bar. I cant do anything.

I have divided my d: partition like this:
    19 gb windows xp
    5 gb mounted for /
    1 gb swap
    8 gb mounted /home

    what could my mistake be?

    Thanks in advance
    Tolga

Please list your hardware, unplug all unnecessary external devices (USB stuff) and try to boot with the following parameter for now when you get to the bootloader:

    linux noapic nolapic
Windows free since 2002 | computing since 1984
