Hello all,
I have a Dell Optiplex GX1 with a CS4236B onboard sound card. I have been using Mandriva for almost 3 days now and i'm loving it. But one of the 2 problems I am having is Mandriva doesn't detect my sound card at all. I know this because I cannot see it when i check the hardware in Configure Your Computer. I have no sound at all in X, but I have sound when I test with sndconfig. When I run amixer I get "mixer attach default error: no such file or directory". I've searched google, and linux sites over and over again and I cannot seem to find a solution. Some help or advice would be appreciated.
