i`m new to mandriva.. and all the linux stuff.. i have installed my adsl connection.. but as it tryies to connect i can`t.. i have an usb speedtouch 330 ...

Adsl with Speedtouch 330 USB modem.Help to config!
hi
i`m new to mandriva.. and all the linux stuff.. i have installed my adsl connection.. but as it tryies to connect i can`t.. i have an usb speedtouch 330 modem, over ppoe. i have a lan card aswell but i don`t think i need it to configure to get connected to the internet.
So i putted in the user, the password, i setted my eth0 (lan card) over dhcp, and started the adsl from the taskbar.. and nothing happens.. i can`t connect to the internet.. please tell me what i did wrong..

Hi - Please read this. Your life is made more complicated by using a USB modem. Connecting that way uses more system resources (your CPU) but it should be possible ... less easy than using a standard ADSL router though.

ok 10x... i know this modem sucks.. but i will give it a go on mandriva..
PS:mandriva 2006 recoginzes my speedtouch
