    Unhappy No Sound98876828

    I just started using Mandriva 2006 a few days ago, and I've been doing pretty good got my Wireless up and running, but I realized that I wasn't hearing any sound so I went into my system config, and went to the hardware part and saw that it was in the unknown device area I have been looking everywhere to figure this probelm out and guess I should just ask.

    My sound card is a ICH4 845G/GL Chipset AC'97 Audio Controller.

    The default driver is alsa and set for snd-intel8x0

    and again I'm new to this I'm so use to Windows but I want to learn Linux, but right now it's driving me insane please help asap. I'm also having trouble downloading programs and installing them.
