    Cool Display issue

I hope this hasn't been covered yet. but I couldn't find anything on it. I installed Mandriva 2006 and when booting up it takes me to the Linux and failsafe screen, but when I let it go to Linux it seems to load everthing fine with all ok's but then goes to all dashed lines on the left side of the screen and some of them are blinking. When I use fail safe and run FXdrake I change all my video setting and retest but nothing I seem to choose fixes the problem. I'm new at this system, but any help would be appreciated.

It might still be a video card issue (they seem quite common under Mandriva). What model of card are you using? When you installed Mandriva, did you pick the right card during setup?

What screen resolution are you using?

    Still having display problems

I belive I am using an Intel 8215 graphics card and everything seems to go fine untill I choose linux then it goes through all the command lines with all ok's, but then I just get all dashed lines down the left side of the sceen with some blinking. I have gone into failsafe several times using XFdrake and changed the video setting to just about every option and running the test and none seem to work. I have also tried to reinstall and I am not partitioning my drive. I have also tried typing x, startx, and startkde but all seem to fail. An any idea's?
