    slow graphics


    hi,
    I have a problem with very slow graphics in both screensavers and games. I shouldint have a problem sience I have a 2.8 celeron processer and a radeon 7000 graphics card. I had it working when i first installed mandrake but after i tinkered with it for a wile to get opengl to compile it stopped working.can anyone help me?

    Hello -

    I can certainly identify with your problem: it's quite easy to break your graphics with an ATI card. You might want to try opening a terminal and typing glxgears . This little application will let you know how many frames per second (FPS) you're getting. If this is low - say in the 100s rather than the 1000s - then you know that's part of the problem.

    What did you tinker with? Which settings did you change?
