    Trouble booting from live

    Ok im very new to Linux, so here is the deal.

    I downloaded live ISO and burned to CD
    I try to boot from live CD and during the "install" process, it gets to about "unloading mount drivers," and my CPU locks up perma.

    I have P4-3ghz prescott
    1 gig ram
    geforce 6800 gt

    Try disabling ACPI in your boot argument

    and BTW what distro are you trying?
