Hello,
I'm a newbie so this is probally easily solved!
Havent booted my box for a while but when i did just before i got to the login screen i get a dialauge box:
The files that contain your preferance settings are currently in use.....
It gives me 2 buttons:
Log out Contiune
i cant move the mouse (which normaly needs selecting again in the control pannel anyway) or use keys to select either of the buttons.
Any help would be much appreatated.

Well I don't know what the problem is, but it sounds like you can't do a graphical login, so you can either try to shutdown the X server with CTRL-ALT-Backspace, or you can leave it running and go to a console virtual terminal with CTRL-ALT-F1.
That way you can login, probably best as root, and look at the most recent logs in /var/log/ and try to figure out what is wrong.
