    help

    hello,

i am new to this forum and linux in general. i have heard how this O.S. uses so little resources as compared to windows and was wondering if this was true?

i tried to download mandriva yesterday and being raised on windows i was at a loss as to how to do this. i opened the download and was greeted by a directory and then several sub-diectories. is there an order to the directories? do i download them all?

please help, any insight given will be greatly appreciated.

    hi ti479 !!

welcome to the linux world !!!

no.. you have to download latest .iso file only... after downloading, just burn this iso image to cd using your favourite burner... like nero in windows....
it will create bootable installation cd....
