DNS Server (Help!!!)

Hi to all,

Is there any tutorial or HowTo here about configuring a DNS Server?
I'm a noob in linux and here at the forum....

I got a linux box (Mandriva 2006) configured as a web proxy server too...
now i want to configure it as a DNS server too...

i got a static public and private ip... i already had registered name my.name.com (example only) as a domain name with a server name as ns1.my.name.com and ns2.my.name.com

ex.
eth0: 123.456.789.0 public ip
eth1: 172.168.0.1 private (LAN) ip
domain name: my.name.com <-- example domain name
servers: ns1.my.name.com
ns2.my.name.com

if someone pings my.name.com or ns1.my.name.com they will give them the ip 123.456.789.0
and if they use 123.456.789.0 on primary dns server (like in windows tcp/ip networking configuation) they can resolve websites.....

can anyone help me please... step by step on how to....
