    Help me-refresh problem with lcd benq FP71G

    Please someone help me!

    I have buy a new lcd monitor. No problem when I start windows, but when I try to start linux Mandriva 10.1, after the boot loader Lilo I have no signal from the lcd, only a message: "out of range".
    Someone already told me that the problem is the refresh frequency but I have no idea about to do.
    Someone could help me please?

    Ok start it in either safe mode [ dunno if mdk comes with that...]
    Or wait for about 3mins, till you think the system has loaded up. On the keyboard press Ctrl+alt+f2. That takes you to a VT, which should work with your screen. After that you will need to edit the /etc/X11/xorg.conf. As for that part I cant tell you what is wrong. Check stuff like the resolution, lower it etc. Check thefrequencies against your screens manual, etc.
