    Hi !!!

    /dev/hda5 /mnt/wind vfat codepage=850,iocharset=iso8859-1,umask=0 0 0
check /mnt folder... is it "wind" or win_d ???? create 'wind' folder in '/mnt' OR replace 'wind' with 'win_d' in /etc/fstab file.

    HI !!

D drive files should be in /mnt/wind folder. in fstab file, mount point for D drive ( hda5 ) is '/mnt/wind'.
copy files in 'wind' folder of 'mnt'..... these files will be visible in windows d drive......

if you dont have /mnt/wind folder then create new..... reboot..... copy files in it... check in windows.......

Are you exiting Windows by quitting or hibernating? I had this problem when writing to a fat32 partition from Linux after Win XP had been hibernated before I booted into Linux. Any files I wrote from Linux weren't visible to Windows.

When I quit windows normally all files written by Linux are visible to Windows.
