Installing AIM 1.234-1 RPM package
Again I'm new to this OS. I have the RPM package saved. Now I know I'm supposed to type the run command while logged-in as root: rpm -i aim-1.5.234-1.i386.rpm So I pulled up Konsole and typed " su " to enable me to log in as root. Is that right - or is my memory discombobulated? Either way, the error read: Error: open of aim [...etc...] failed: No such file or directory. I know the file is on my HDD. Did I miss something in the tutorials? I might just try download GAIM as it'll likely be better than AIM.
EDIT: I decided to run GAIM. I'm quickly beginning to like using Linux-based systems.
