    Disappearing Pictures


    I transfered over a thousand pictures from cd's to the picture folder in Mandriva. After encountering a problem that required a reinstall I trued to put the pictures on again and when I open up the cd nothing is there. The message is "no folders, no files". When I put the cd on Windows the pictures are thee as usual. I must be doing something wrong but can't figure it out. Any help will be appreciated.

    A disk has to be mounted for you to see its contents.
    Many systems do this automatically, because most
    users prefer it that way. Your system may have failed
    to automatically mount the cd, or isn't configured to
    do so
