How to log on to Mandriva 2007 as root
I have Mandriva 2007 power pack and it wont let me log as root.
Can anybody tel me hoe to do this. Thanx.

You don't really need to login as root. You can do everything whilst logged in as a normal user. If you need root privileges, you can switch to root by using "su -" or "su -c" in the command line. Alternatively you can run apps as root by using the kdesu command e.g. "kdesu konqueror". If you really need to login to a GUI as root, then run Kcontrol -> System Administration -> Login Manager and change the settings for root.
