Graphical desktop does not load
help me please!! I just installed mandriva linux 2007 and everything went smoothly during installation as i received no error messages, however after i choose linux from the bootloader it takes me to a command prompt to log in and will not load up a graphical desktop I've tried the startx command and it does a bunch of stuff and then still does not load it and xfdrake command is not available please help me I dont know what else to do Thank You in advance!!

What error message did you get? My thoughts are that X is not configured properly. Have you tried configuring X with xorgconfig yet?
