URMPI on Mandriva 2007
I'm trying to install VLC media player and I'm told to use URMPI, but I think that is only Mandrake, right?
When I type urmpi into a console using Mandriva I get
"bash: urmpi: command not found"
Has someone successfully installed VLC and can help, or knows more about URMPI?
If you don't have an idea, could you tell me how to install some codecs for the default KDE Desktop media player?
Thanks for any help!

urpmi does exist for Mandriva 2007. Just make sure you use it as root.
To become root :
then type your password (that won't appear as you type it).Code:su
Then
should do it.Code:urpmi vlc
About codecs, look for packages names "libdvdcss2", "win32codecs" and "realcodecs"."To express yourself in freedom, you must die to everything of yesterday. From the 'old', you derive security; from the 'new', you gain the flow."

Thank you very much for the tip!
I found out that I've been typing
URMPI
instead of
URPMI
