looking at Distros
Been using Suse for the last few years but am looking at a change. I tryed Ubuntu and while I liked it alot as far as simplicity goes, I really disliked the inability to have any command/ control over the pc/ OS.
So I find myself here in the forums looking at different options.
My main concern is the command and control over the OS and what I want to do with it, not what it "allows" me to do.
Following that, a nice simple Nvidia driver install would be nice lol
Decent package updater/ installer... ability to work and play right out of the box so to speak.
I run a AMD 3800 64(X2) on an Asus Mobo with a Nvidia 6800 vid card
2 internal hdd that I may want to format as FAT 32 (and be able to SEE that partition) and a 200 gb ext hdd.
Thanks for your help
