    Mandriva Free

Is Mandriva free full software or is it just a free trial of Mandriva 07?

It's the full version, only lacking certain commercial apps like LinDVD. I use the 2007 version and it does everything I need it to.

That is one (free software version) I have been meaning to try and just have not got around to it.
They have free (as in cost) version and also free (as in free software) version.

Mandriva One includes non-free software like proprietary video drivers (ati/nvidia), so it is a bit more functionnal out-of-the-box.

Mandriva Free only ships with free and open sources applications. So not much for wireless and 3d video drivers.

Use whichever you feel would suite you best. I wont go into the whole free software dirge.

I only use free software and my system is functional.
