    I need help

Just to let you all know, I am definitely not an expert on Linux, or computers for that matter. I'm not the owner of this computer. My problem is that I've been tinkering around with flash, (this is my first time, and I'm not good with flash either) and I've been trying to make my own, stupid little games. But when I test it out, the game does not save. (it's the kind of game where you can go back to your saved game after you've started it) I try it with other flash games, and the same thing happens.

I also have another problem, and that is when I'm on the settings for flash player, the words (on the buttons and such) aren't there, like they've disappeared. I have no clue how this happened.

How do I fix the above problems?
By the way, I use firefox and the flash is Macromedia Flash Player 7.
