I have Mandriva 2007 x64 and am trying to install bittorrent, I used urpmi from the konsole, I urpmi'ed python and got 'installing python-2.4.3-3mdv2007.0.x86_64.rpm'
next I did python-psyco and got 'already instaled the following package names were assumed: pthyon-psycopg'
Than I did bittorrent and got 'to satisfy dependencies, the folling packages are going to be installed
'bittorrent- (ver-ect)
pycrypto-(ver-ect)
python-OpenSSL-(ver-ect)
python-twested-core-(ver-ect)
python-twested-web-(ver-ect)
I went and searched for the icon nothing so I logged out and looged back in still nothing, so I reboot and yet again nothing, I have used MCC to uninstal the packages and reinstalled 2 times, What am I doing wrong or what am I missing here?

Bittorrent
Use Azuresus instead of Bittorrent
Download the Linux version from the site (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ )
1) Extract latest linux package (choice of GTK or Motif) from here
* To extract the program files from the package, type
o tar xvjf Azureus_x.x.x.x_linux...tar.bz2
where Azureus_x.x.x.x_linux...tar.bz2 is the name of the downloaded package.
3) Change to the azureus directory and run ./azureus to start
* cd azureus
* ./azureus
If you get an error message, or want to configure the java exec path, just open the azureus script file with your favorite text editor and edit the given configuration options.
And Enjoy Downloads
