Mandriva Linux Installation Problem

I Am New To Linux Platform

I Have Just Went To Install Mandriva Linux. But In The Middle Of The Installation I Got The Screen To Enter LocalHost Login And Password.
I Don't Know What It Is.

Please Give Me Your Guidence To Complete My Installation Succesfully

If it is not too hard, I would re-insert the Mandriva CD or DVD again, start over with a fresh installation (make sure you back up any files that you've created perhaps or any data and place them on a web storage for the time, e.g., xdrive.com).

The OS loads fast and relax, have some soda or coffee, water and take your time. It will ask you for first for you to enter an administrator password and confirm it, then it will proceed with adding users, i.e., you with the same protocol, a username, and password. After that specific entry, follow carefully the on-screen wizards and let it load and you will be fine.

Linux is unique in that you never need to continually reboot and reboot. Very flexible...

Thanks For Hearing Me

I Have Already Installed Windown XP In Partition "C" .Now I Want That LInux
To Be Installed On Drive "D". When I Install It Struks To Start GUI. Because
It Requires Localhost Login And Password.
But I Didn't Set Anything Like This To My Pc.

Can You Guide Me How Could I Solve This Issue??

I Will Tell You What Happend When I Install The Mandriva Linux At Last Night.

I Inserted The Disc And Rebooted The System.

Then I Got The Screen Which Says That " Hit Enter Key To Start Installation,Press Esc For Additional Options . I Had Hitted The Enter Key.
After That It Indicates That " The Process Of Linux Installation" There Is One Message Like " Linux Installation Has Been Started,Please Esc Key To Verbose Mode".

But I Didn't Press The Verbose Mode, After 10 Mints My Monitor Was Blank
Nothing Happend.Then I Went To Press Esc Key. Then I Had Seen That
There Are The Messages Like " Enter The Localhost Login And Password.

During The Installation, I Was Never Asked To Create Users...


Am I Did Any Wrong ??

PLease Give Me Your Guidence Mr.Linux Guru..

is there any other Button or link on this Login Screen? it might be possible that Installer is asking for User Creation.

The Thing Is I Had Seen There Is No Display In The Monitor While My CD Has
Been Read, The I Pressed The Esc Key To Switch To verbose Mode.

I Never Been Asked To Create Users

it means installer couldn't complete installation. re-install Mandriva in Text Mode.
